ΘΧ International Headquarters

IHQ.  Our International Headquarters in Carmel, IN is the governing body for all Chapters and

Colonies, and establishes and oversees our bylaws, standards, and rules of operation.  Read about IHQ here and use the menus on top and bottom to become familiar with the site.

Note that there are two IHQ documents that you will need in the future for reference.

Founders' Day.  It is the anniversary of the founding of Theta Chi Fraternity and is observed in the evening of April 10th annually.  It is recognized and celebrated as chapters deem appropriate and proper such as a special dinner/formal social, a reflection upon memories of the chapter or Theta Chi in general, or a ceasing of activities for the minute before and minute after 9 pm.

ADCDs.  The Grand Chapter, as the board of directors, is the administrative, executive, and judicial head of the Fraternity which provides strategic direction, long-term vision, objectives, and priorities to and governs through and oversees the IHQ Chief Executive Officer and his staff.  That staff has Assistant Directors of Chapter Development who serve as the go-between chapters and the IHQ, are our main points of contact, and periodically visit chapters for updates on progress.   Click the ADCD below who presently performs these duties with ΚΔ.  Our President also participates in frequent phone calls and virtual meetings with IHQ representatives.

Foundation Chapter of Theta Chi This branch of Theta Chi accepts gifts, bequests, contributions, etc. and uses the income for scholarships, grants, etc.

Greekbill.  This organization basically serves as the Treasurer for IHQ (as well as many other fraternities) to assist chapters with financial matters, membership management, and reference material.  You will be required to establish an individual account with them for any dues or fees incurred such as IHQ dues, new member initiation fees, etc.  Our Secretary and Treasurer will walk you through this process.

The USO.  One of Theta Chi's preferred philanthropies and national partners is the USO (United Service Organizations), a nonprofit organization that has provided a home away from home— recreational activities/programs/services and live entertainment— to American soldiers and family members around the world for over 70 years.

Operation Military Red.  This program, once called G.I. Theta Chi, is how we lend a Helping Hand to support IHQ’s partnership with the USO, and we decide annually on a project to assist them.  Locally, USO has centers on Fort Bliss and Biggs Field as well as a Lounge at the El Paso Airport.  USO recently added a lounge and game room at Fort Bliss MEPS (Military Entrance Processing Station).  Information on all facilities is at https://elpaso.uso.org.  In the past, we have collected many perishable (snacks) and non-perishable (toiletry) items, as well as cash contributions, and donated all to the local USO to be used toward troop care packages for soldiers overseas.  See Photos X.

Social Media.  In addition to its Internet website, IHQ maintains several social media outlets, to include Twitter (https://twitter.com/ThetaChiIHQ), Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/thetachi/), and Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/thetachiihq/).

Sacred Purpose.  This is our commitment to one another to insure our health, safety and protection, and is explained at its logo below.  Amplification is at this link:  Sacred Purpose

The Resolute Man.  This is a voluntary Theta Chi IHQ initiative to delineate basic requirements for individuals to pledge, requirements for initiation, and standards for collegians (initiated members in college) and alumni to earn this higher distinction from regular brothers.  It was voted in at the July 2016 Convention and is overviewed at the white icon which also has a video.  Click the red Guidebook to read it.

Visual Standards Guide & Coherence Manifest.  IHQ also adopted a new set of visual and communication standards, as well as a presentation of the verbal and visual elements that serve as touchstones in Theta Chi Fraternity’s communications materials thereby highlighting Theta Chi’s essence and distinction.  The two complete guides are at these links:
